- CINCO is changing from MasterCard® to Visa®. This change allows members to have convenient access with the Surcharge-Free MoneyPass® ATM Network. The new Visa® Debit Card will work coast-to-coast in over 12,000 surcharge free ATMs located where members live, work and travel! For convenient locations of surcharge free ATMs please refer to www.MoneyPass.com. We also belong to Alliance One® which is a surcharge free alliance. If members use one of these ATMs, they will not have a surcharge. Check www.MoneyPass.com or www.Allianceone.coop/allianceone for locations. These surcharge free ATMs are located all over the country.
- Along with the new card, members will also receive a new PIN number. After the member receives their new PIN number in the mail, the member will be able to change this number to one of their choice by calling 1.800.448.8268, or members can change it at any ATM.
- The new CINCO Visa® Debit Card can be used at any business that displays the Visa® symbol. You can also use the CINCO Visa® Debit Card at ATMs that display the Pulse, MoneyPass, and Plus network symbols.Just like the old card, funds are taken directly from your checking account every time you use the card without having to write a check.
- CINCO is lowering our transaction fees from $1.50 to $1.25. This transaction fee will be charged on every withdrawal or transfer that is made at any ATM except the 19 ATMs that are owned by CINCO. Previously, if a member used a Jeanie ATM they would pay a surcharge of at least $2 and members had no transaction fee from CINCO. Going forward if a member still uses a Jeanie ATM they will be charged the $2 surcharge and a $1.25 transaction fee from CINCO. The best thing to do is find a MoneyPass® or Alliance One® ATM that will not have a surcharge and then members will only have the $1.25 CINCO transaction fee. The 19 CINCO owned ATMs are completely free. Go to our web site www.cinco.org to find our ATM locations.
- The new Debit or ATM card will be protected by a strong anti-fraud security system, which will alert members of any suspicious transactions that appear to be fraudulent in nature.
- Members with just an ATM Card will want to sign their new card right away. Their old card will be deactivated on February 27, 2008 and their new card will be automatically activated.
- If the member has automatic payments set up using their old Debit Card number, they need to be sure to notify the payee of their new card number on February 27, 2008. Anything coming in under their old card number will be rejected after February 27, 2008.
Members will get their new Visa® Debit Card in the mail around February 27, 2008. This new card cannot be used until February 27, 2008; however, members will be able to activate it as soon as they receive it by calling 1-800-448-8268. Please do NOT destroy your current card until February 27, 2008.
If you only have a CINCO ATM card, please remember that the old ATM card will be deactivated on February 27, 2008 and your new ATM card will be automatically activated on that date.
