We are proud to be involved in programs that provide scholarships, assist in home ownership, educate the community and much more. Good corporate citizenship helps raise the level of social and economic well-being of those in our community; strengthens ties within the community, and positions us to reach out and serve those people in greatest need of financial services.
CARE For over 70 years, CINCO has been a part of our members’ lives. As a locally owned and operated, not-for-profit, financial cooperative, CINCO is dedicated to the philosophy of “people helping people.” We have a responsibility to help build strong communities, and we strive to be financial advocates for our members.
Our philosophy has led us to create the CARE (Community Alliance for Reaching and Educating) Program. The objective of this program is to organize community activities that teach financial literacy, help people buy homes, educate youth and much more. Our goal is to make a positive and long-lasting difference in the communities we serve.

Financial Education Just as reading, writing and arithmetic set the groundwork for a solid education, the need for a “financial education” is just as important. More than ever, families are deeper in debt, credit card bills are out of control and people, young and old, are mismanaging their money. As a community credit union, CINCO hopes to make a difference in your life through financial education courses.
CINCO provides members, non-members, schools and local organizations with FREE financial education courses to help people learn to manage their money wisely.
Elementary to High School Courses By educating the youth in our community, we can encourage a healthy attitude toward money and instill good financial habits that will last a lifetime. The courses we’ve designed for children and teenagers cover topics like how to save, balancing wants and needs, setting financial goals and saving for the future.
Adult Education Courses It’s never too late to learn the basics! Our adult education classes teach practical financial knowledge and skills on topics like how to buy a home, understanding credit scores, budgeting and much more.
Classroom Presentations CINCO would be happy to come to your school and make a classroom presentation. We strive to bring at least one classroom presentation to each school in the community and hold evening sessions for parents and community partners.
Home Ownership By broadening our membership base to include entire communities, increasing opportunities for home ownership came to the forefront as an area in which we could help members. Home ownership is critical for creating strong communities and a source of individual financial security. We are happy to help those in the community with the process of buying a home.
Scholarships To recognize leadership, academics and service, CINCO awards scholarships to members in the community. The scholarships are offered annually through our CARE Foundation. Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students. | Copyright © 2006 CINCO. All Rights Reserved.
